Orange Group Teacher
Lena Hirtl
Hello! My name is Lena Hirtl. I was born and raised in Carinthia. After graduating from a secondary school with a focus on art education in 2004, I moved to Vienna. I am a person with many interests, so I tried my hand at various studies at university. Although I was academically successful, I didn't feel professionally fulfilled in any of these fields. Then I decided to follow my heart and pursue my desire to work with children, beginning training as an elementary school teacher, which I completed in 2021. Working with children is where I found my purpose.

Although my path may have been longer, I don't regret any of the steps I took to get here. I have learned a lot and am happy to share my knowledge with the children and to accompany them on their educational journey. For me, there is nothing better than discovering children's interests and using them to explore different areas of education. I focus not only on promoting cognitive, but also emotional and social skills. In my work with children, I attach great importance to inclusion, participation and maintaining children's natural joy in learning and discovering new things.
Furthermore, it's essential to me that I work closely with families, because I fell that in this way, we can make the most of a child's kindergarten experience. I'm excited to support the children entrusted to me as they grow and learn, using a foundation of love, kindness, respect and composure.

Between the happy laughter and curious eyes of children is a world full of opportunities in which I, as a passionate educator, can use my skills and my heart to aid the development and well-being of students. Working with children and observing the educational, as well as emotional progress has always been a passion of mine. Kids United is a place of acceptance of each individual child and I am truly happy to be part of it.

Red Group Teacher
Silvia Mayer
My name is Silvia Mayer. I am a BAfEP8 graduate and have worked as an early childhood educator in Vienna for the past three years. It is important to me that children learn through play and are the focus of attention with all their abilities, skills, and needs. I want to actively and creatively shape educational processes for and with children. As an early childhood educator, I can contribute to ensuring that the children entrusted to my care experience the strength to face the world with confidence. Children learn something new every day. No two days are the same for them. What fascinates me most is being able to accompany and support them in the daily development of their individual abilities, skills, and personalities. You get so much back from the children, which is incredibly enriching.
